Mount Kilimanjaro is the tallest mountain in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain in the world! And guess what? We are going to hike all the way to the top! This trip is not for the faint of heart.  It will be hard! In fact it might be the hardest thing you have ever done. But you can do hard things! Even though submitting Kilimanjaro is incredibly difficult it is one of the safest mountains to Summit. This once in a lifetime trip will not only be filled with the most amazing scenery but also with time to connect with God, other teenagers, and amazing counselors!

After the trip is filled we will book flights together out of Las Vegas (Typical price is 1200$-2000$ round trip). Each leg of the flight will last 24 hours! We are literally going half way around the world for this!

Once we arrive in Tanzania we will begin our ascent up this 19,000 + foot mountain. Each morning we will begin with scripture study and each night we will sit around a fire and talk about how we saw God during the day. On day 6 we will summit the great Kilimanjaro! We will spend time on the top to truly feel our great accomplishment and give gratitude to God for the great accomplishment. We will then begin the descent back down the mountain.

WEFY Backpacking

Teenagers have a lot of “mountains to climb” in their future. Missions, college, work, relationships, questions etc.. There will be times where they want to quit. It will be hard. We have intentionally designed this backpacking trip to be hard. Our hope is that as they carry their backpacks through Coyote Gulch they will begin to see and understand that they can do hard things without giving up! (Philippians 4:13)
