WEFY Backpacking

Teenagers have a lot of “mountains to climb” in their future. Missions, college, work, relationships, questions etc.. There will be times where they want to quit. It will be hard. We have intentionally designed this backpacking trip to be hard. Our hope is that as they carry their backpacks through Coyote Gulch they will begin to see and understand that they can do hard things without giving up! (Philippians 4:13)

Costa Rica Expedition

Costa Rica Surf and Waterfall Adventure

If you’re a young single adult who craves adrenaline and adventure, this Costa Rica trip was made for you. Surrounded by other single Latter-day Saints, you’ll dive into epic experiences—surfing world-class waves with expert instruction, rappelling down jungle waterfalls, swimming in crystal-clear pools, and leaping into the unknown. It’s intense, it’s exhilarating, and it’s physically demanding—so come ready to be challenged and pushed in all the best ways.

But what truly sets this trip apart is the spiritual connection you’ll build. Mornings will start with scripture study, and each night we’ll gather for heartfelt devotionals, reflecting on how we’ve seen God in the day’s adventures and in each other. You’ll come home with new confidence, a deeper connection to Jesus Christ, and lifelong friendships with people who share your faith and love for living life to the fullest. This isn’t just a trip—it’s a life-changing experience.

The
Adventure

This is a planned itinerary, there are often small changes to the itinerary that happen before leaving and or during the trip.

Embarking on a seven-day adventure to Costa Rica promises an exhilarating blend of adrenaline-fueled activities and serene natural encounters. Your journey begins amidst the crashing waves of Costa Rica’s Pacific coast, where days are spent riding the surf’s rhythm, honing your skills under the tropical sun. As the week unfolds, venture inland to verdant rainforests where hiking trails beckon, leading to hidden waterfalls cascading into crystalline pools perfect for a refreshing dip. Keep your eyes peeled for elusive sloths lounging lazily in the canopy and mischievous monkeys swinging through the trees, embodying the essence of Pura Vida. In between heart-pounding rappelling sessions down lush canyons and camping under star-studded skies, indulge in the ultimate relaxation at natural hot springs, soothing tired muscles while soaking up the tranquil ambiance of the jungle. And no Costa Rican adventure is complete without savoring the vibrant flavors of local cuisine, from freshly caught seafood to tropical fruits bursting with flavor, ensuring each day ends with a taste of Pura Vida living at its finest.

This was a fabulous trip through the beautiful landscape of the Mighty Five and wonderful additions in Arizona, Colorado and Utah. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and we entered all the Parks without any of the publicized traffic delays. The tour was comfortable and the group size (9) perfect Tom rallied our group early every day and he knew all the 'secret' back roads within the Parks to maximize our adventure. Antelope Canyon was magnificent, as was: Zion, Bryce, and Scenic Highway 12 in Utah. I highly recommend this tour company for your Utah National Park travel experience.

My wife and I chose the self guided option of the Mighty 5 plus Dead Horse and Goblin Valley State Parks with Southern Utah Scenic Tours. One word for the entire process and trip: SPECTACULAR! Will and Jaime gave us the most incredible 9 day itinerary that took us from Las Vegas to Salt Lake City. Every day was wonderfully outlined in the travel package and we felt like we had plenty of time to see every attraction. The lodging was outstanding and always close to the parks we were visiting. The restaurant recommendations were spot on every time! The local knowledge they provided in the travel package was invaluable for the entire trip and provided us with tips to sights, hikes and scenery that we would have never found on our own. We feel like we have truly experienced the beauty of southern Utah! Thanks for a wonderful trip!! Everything was perfect!

We just returned home from the Utah Mighty 5 National Parks tour. Our roomy and comfortable van held 10 people plus our guide. The tour was well planned out, our guide Kiley Bice was knowledgeable and fun, and the hotels were all great. Due to rain, one day’s plans had to be changed on the fly. Kiley had alternative activities and sights planned without disappointments or regrets. The only negative was the van had a water leak from the air unit on the roof that dripped into the van after a hard rain. Kiley informed the main office and they immediately remedied the issue by driving a replacement van to us the next day. We felt confident that the company valued our experience and supported their employees to the fullest. We would definitely tour with Utah Southern Tours again and recommend them to all our friends.
