WEFY Backpacking

Teenagers have a lot of “mountains to climb” in their future. Missions, college, work, relationships, questions etc.. There will be times where they want to quit. It will be hard. We have intentionally designed this backpacking trip to be hard. Our hope is that as they carry their backpacks through Coyote Gulch they will begin to see and understand that they can do hard things without giving up! (Philippians 4:13)

Everest Base Camp

Live your dream. Push your limits

Embark on the adventure of a lifetime as you hike over 75 miles and ascend nearly 18,000 feet over 12 unforgettable days! Are you ready for the challenge? This epic journey to Everest Base Camp is designed for adults 18 and older, with the option for teenagers to join if accompanied by a parent.

This trek isn’t just about reaching the base of the world’s tallest mountain at 17,598 feet; it’s about pushing your limits, disconnecting from technology, and rediscovering the adventurous spirit you had as a child. Starting in the ancient city of Kathmandu, you'll have time to acclimate and explore before embarking on this incredible journey.

As you make your way to Everest Base Camp, you’ll cross suspension bridges over vast chasms, visit secluded Buddhist monasteries, and experience the rich, rugged Sherpa culture. Along the way, you’ll catch breathtaking views of Cho Oyu, Lhotse, and Makalu—three of the ten tallest peaks on Earth. Each night, rest comfortably in cozy, traditional teahouses, knowing that our experienced guides and porters are there to ensure your safety and enjoyment.

This trek is not just a physical challenge; it’s an opportunity to step away from the demands of daily life, immerse yourself in nature, and bond with fellow adventurers. The memories and friendships forged on this trek will last a lifetime.

Our all-inclusive trek package covers almost everything once you arrive in Nepal: airport shuttles, hotel stays in Kathmandu, round-trip flights to Lukla, accommodations and meals during the trek, porter services, and all necessary permits and fees. The only additional costs are your visa, travel insurance (which must cover evacuation up to 6000 meters), meals while in Kathmandu, and tips for your guide and porter team. You might also want some extra cash for trail snacks, souvenirs, WiFi access, or a hot shower at the teahouses.

This once-in-a-lifetime adventure is the perfect way to reconnect with your sense of wonder, push your boundaries, and create unforgettable memories. We can’t wait to share it with you!

This was a fabulous trip through the beautiful landscape of the Mighty Five and wonderful additions in Arizona, Colorado and Utah. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and we entered all the Parks without any of the publicized traffic delays. The tour was comfortable and the group size (9) perfect Tom rallied our group early every day and he knew all the 'secret' back roads within the Parks to maximize our adventure. Antelope Canyon was magnificent, as was: Zion, Bryce, and Scenic Highway 12 in Utah. I highly recommend this tour company for your Utah National Park travel experience.

My wife and I chose the self guided option of the Mighty 5 plus Dead Horse and Goblin Valley State Parks with Southern Utah Scenic Tours. One word for the entire process and trip: SPECTACULAR! Will and Jaime gave us the most incredible 9 day itinerary that took us from Las Vegas to Salt Lake City. Every day was wonderfully outlined in the travel package and we felt like we had plenty of time to see every attraction. The lodging was outstanding and always close to the parks we were visiting. The restaurant recommendations were spot on every time! The local knowledge they provided in the travel package was invaluable for the entire trip and provided us with tips to sights, hikes and scenery that we would have never found on our own. We feel like we have truly experienced the beauty of southern Utah! Thanks for a wonderful trip!! Everything was perfect!

We just returned home from the Utah Mighty 5 National Parks tour. Our roomy and comfortable van held 10 people plus our guide. The tour was well planned out, our guide Kiley Bice was knowledgeable and fun, and the hotels were all great. Due to rain, one day’s plans had to be changed on the fly. Kiley had alternative activities and sights planned without disappointments or regrets. The only negative was the van had a water leak from the air unit on the roof that dripped into the van after a hard rain. Kiley informed the main office and they immediately remedied the issue by driving a replacement van to us the next day. We felt confident that the company valued our experience and supported their employees to the fullest. We would definitely tour with Utah Southern Tours again and recommend them to all our friends.
