From there, we’ll visit the real-life movie set of Hobbiton, walk among the rolling green hills of the Shire, and take in the magic that brought Middle-earth to life. We’ll then make our way to Rotorua, a geothermal wonderland where adventure and culture collide. You’ll ride a gondola up a mountainside, luge back down, swim in natural hot springs, and fly down the Kaituna River—home to the world’s highest commercially rafted waterfall. You’ll hike through towering redwood forests, roll down a hill inside a giant inflatable Zorb, and experience the rich traditions of the Māori people through storytelling, dance, and food. Every day is packed with laughter, awe, adrenaline, and moments to slow down, reflect, and reconnect—with yourself, with new friends, and with God.

Optional Fiji Extension

For those ready to keep the adventure going, we’ll hop over to the tropical paradise of Fiji. Here, we’ll backpack across lush island terrain, discover pristine beaches with crystal-clear waters, and immerse ourselves in one of the warmest, most welcoming cultures on earth. We’ll learn about the islanders’ efforts to preserve their land and ocean, and lend a hand where we can. Whether you’re swimming in turquoise coves, hiking through rainforests, or worshipping under the stars, this extension is designed to deepen your connection to nature, to others, and most importantly—to God.
